Yes. You need a Texas fishing license with a freshwater stamp to fish on Lake Conroe if you’re 17 or older. Your guide can remind you, but you must bring it—fishing without one can result in fines.
Fishing is year-round, but peak action happens in spring and fall when fish are closer to shore. During summer, fish move deeper—boating is essential—and early morning/late evening are best.
Yes. All rods, reels, tackle, bait, and gear are provided on our guided trips. You just bring yourself, your license, and enthusiasm.
We offer half-day (4-hour) and full-day trips. All trips include:
- Licensed Lake Conroe fishing guide
- Boat, fuel, and safety equipment
- Rods, reels, tackle, and bait
- Fishing instruction and local expertise
- Catch cleaning and filleting
Fish Head Water Sports offers the following trips to customers:
- $350 for 1-2 people, additional $50 per person after 2 guests – Am hybrid striped bass trip (4 hours)
- $350 for 1-2 people, additional $50 per person after 2 guests – Am or Pm catfish trip your choice (4 hours)
- $350 for 1-2 people, additional $50 per person after 2 guests – Bluegill / Bream Trip (4 hours)
Absolutely. Our guides tailor trips for kids, beginners, and families. Children 13 and under must wear life jackets at all times—bring your own if it fits well.
